I felt like this book was very raw. You go in to it expecting the experiences the main character has to be awful and by the end you are blown away. My jaw was left open

I think it’s interesting but it’s half describing hockey games and I don’t care so I won’t think about it or reread it. It does talk about the residential schools for indigenous kids in North America, which is always hard to read about, but it’s a matter of fact telling which was new to me and appreciated as different.
