I just finished Damage and I can’t find words to describe how this duet made me think and feel. If I was at home, I’ll probably get a big glass of wine or something.
I love Stefan and Gabi. Their story is full of angst and heartbreaking moments and suspense and twists that I wasn’t expecting but everything added to an epic love story that grew before our eyes with each page, with each touch and moment together.
You’ve made another reader for life !
Also, for some reason I couldn’t stop listening on repeat Black by Pearl Jam while reading the first half of Damage

Imagine writing a book that leaves basically the entire plot unanswered but is full of sexual encounters to make up for the last book only having one.

3 STARS

I'm not exactly sure how to rate this book so I figured a 3 stars was most fitting. To be perfectly honest, I felt like the ideas the author was going for here were interesting, but the way they were executed was rushed.

It's almost like had the story been the exact same (or almost the same) but spanned 600 pages instead of less than 200, it would've been much better.

The shift from "I hate you" to "maybe I can love you" to "I'm definitely in love with you" was done way too quickly, so the emotional impact was quite flat in the end.

This is a sequel, and I quite enjoyed the way things ended in the first book. I thought it was a somewhat exciting cliffhanger, and so I fully expected that plot point to carry over to book two and be a central part of the story. However, it was resolved within a matter of chapters, again, making the whole thing fall flat.

I should probably mention that one of my big issues with book one was the whole "kissing cousins" drama, which i thought just made for really uncomfortable scenes in that book, and unfortunately, it carries over to this one also. I just don't really understand the point of this aspect of the plot at all. Clara could've just as easily been a friend of the family if the author really wanted the "other woman" drama, but no, she made them cousins. Just weird.

But, as I said, even though the execution was rushed, most of the ideas in this book were interesting; so I'm giving it a 3 stars.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Natasha Knight had a lot of twists and turns in Damage that I had a hard time putting down this book. I needed to find out what was going to happen next. Before I knew it, I was finishing the book. Now, I need to read more from Natasha Knight because I enjoyed this Dark Mafia Romance that involved an arranged marriage.

This book was definitely a fantastic conclusion to the Collateral Damage Duet.

This got so annoying by the end. The villains were way too obvious and Gabriella turned into a whiny mess.
