I had to read it for school so my view of it is a bit skewed. Certain parts of the commentary about consumerism and authoritarianism were interesting but nothing I couldn't find somewhere else and I just don't understand the sex stuff. They show no purpose, maybe if it was encouraged to increase production of people like products it would make more sense but it's just kinda there. Maybe it's about being distracted by temptation instead of seeing the flaws in their society but it really isn't shown clearly. (Maybe he was just afraid of promiscuity??)

Extremely interesting read, especially drawing comparisons to a capitalistic society as well as progress seen and made in 2022

This book gave me big Narcissistic Christian White Man TM energy. It did make me think about theoretical societal concepts though. Quite comedic at times (
I have been scarred by “Orgy Porgy”
), but Huxley pats himself too much on the back for me to enjoy much of the book. And all the characters are just pieces in his game of Making a Point, so there's not much connection or development really, just the plot as his prediction for the dystopian future society. I only rated as high as I did because it was coherent and introduced ideas that made me think about society today.
