°˖➴ i found the relationship w charlie & riley a little.. odd. especially the age gap like it was 5 years?!? it’s so weird bc she’s 17 and he was 22..! i’m glad he got sent to a mental hospital LIKE HE DESERVES. his real name is so fucking stupid i still make fun of it “irwin david baxter” bitch who names their child IRIWIN DAVID BAXTER. go back to the 1900s “tally ho!” ahh name.

°˖➴ LOUISA. i ♡ louisa with my whole heart. she was such a sweetheart. i love her and always will. i broke down a sobbed when i saw the words “louisa set herself on fire.” like oh. my. god. my heart broke and i sobbed for a good 20 minutes.

It’s not often at all that books make me emotional, but this one did. It is so incredibly heavy, dark and sad, but it is also beautiful and hopeful at times. Although I can’t relate to most of the content on a personal level, I fully empathise with the characters and situations throughout. This book was so well written, really enjoyed the wave of emotions I went through, in a bitter sweet way.

I tried reading this book shoot a year ago but put it down because of how heavy it was. I picked it back up and finished it in a few days because it was so welling written, raw, tense, and real. This might be the best portrayal of mental illness, addiction, and a toxic relationship I’ve ever read. However, due to the content, I’d recommend checking the extensive trigger warnings.
