Idk man I did enjoy it, but it took quite a mental toll on me which I wasn’t expecting…and not in a good way.

THIS BOOK WAS OMG. I loved how the title of each part was used in the part. and the dark humour was amazing.
but when louisa BURNED herself MY JAW WAS ON THE FLOOR. Riley Wesssssst was a prominent character and i’m sad their relationship didn’t work but also happy cus it was toxic asf,
overall i love Linus, Tanner, Felix, Blue and Charlie with all my heart. Kathleen i love you for this book

Book TW: Self-harm, abuse, sexual assault, suicidal ideation/suicide, drug and alcohol use.

This is one of those books you don't want to describe. All I knew going in was it was about self-harm and attempted suicide.

There were several moments where I didn't know if I could finish this book. Sections involving Riley reminded me of my own trauma that I should probably face more than I have. I'm so happy I finished this book though. I think so many people will be able to relate to it.

This is another book I wouldn't put in YA (where it probably is), but under New Adult. It deals with serious themes and doesn't shy away from them, but is written in a way teens can understand and highly relate to. I think anyone who has or even thought of self-harming can relate to this story. It's so immensely sad, but angelic at the same time.

This book taught me to not to be scared of my scars and what people think. Life is a scary world, but you got to take it one step at a time to get somewhere. I enjoyed this book, it has a lot of TW’s (just for warning ⚠️ , and can get really dark and scary). I think it was well written, and something I needed to read. Charlie has a lot of downs, but in the end she has her beginning of her up.

Life is scary and it can get really hard sometimes. We can be filled with an overwhelming feeling of darkness, and sometimes need a little time away. Sometimes it’s like an ocean, we stand up and the waves wash over us and blur what’s going on.
