Amazingly atmospheric! This book made me desperately want to move closer to the North Sea and at the same time never see any body of water again. And the fantasy side fit right into the reality.

I love the development of characters and how their relationships with each other Make Sense and are not forced. The characters have many flaws but they are all very dear to me.

But I have to say there’re a lot off dark scenes so before reading you should look at the warnings!

This is probably one of the best books I've read recently. The mystery is just twisty enough to be very engaging but still satisfying to figure out; probably the hardest thing to do in writing.

The characters themselves are delightful and realistic, and their relationships are engaging.

I got in trouble for spending an extra ten minutes on lunch while reading this because I reached 5h3 climax and couldn't stop.

All around, this was a delight to read.
