Excellent. In the years since I last picked up a L'Engle novel I had forgotten just what an incredible prose stylist she was. Her writing is quite rhythmic and nicely parallels her subject matter. I give this novel four stars only because there is one relatively short sequence that I think could have been excised and the story made the stronger because of it but really the heart of the story is quite brilliant she is writing incredibly intelligent fiction for young people.

L’engle’s writing in A Swiftly Titling Planet is breathtakingly mesmerizing, as usual. Definitely much better than A Wind in the Door.
The stories of all the generations from Harcels to Matthew were really captivating. I must warn you that as you get deeper into the book, and the amount of characters start to increase, it does get a bit confusing with the names and you may have to read over previous chapters. So I think it’s better that you read a couple of chapters (if you can) at a time.
But all in all, this was a really amazing read 💕

The third book of the Wrinkle in Time series is excellent! The same characters return and are just as engaging to read about their fantasy adventures. I think the addition of so many historical references as Charles traveled through time made it more interesting to me than the second book. The author continues her underlying theme of good vs. evil which provides for some spine tingling results. I'd recommend this book to lovers of the fantasy and science fiction genres.

Definitely gets a little bit darker and more challenging than the previous two books, but the way the story weaves together is well worth it.

Too slow. Thought by the third book the series would be more entertaining, it’s not.

This is an off-the-wall story and a bit hard to follow, particularly in the beginning. But my family enjoyed it and will probably continue through the rest of the series.
