The Twisted Sisters are playing their usual games!!

An amazing intro to a whole new world from the twisted sisters! Such amazing detail when it comes to both world and character building. But then I expect nothing less from the twisted sisters! Ofcourse we get the expected heart wrenching cliffhanger ending. Soo many emotions in such a short amount of pages. But damn has it got me excited for this storyline! I can’t wait to see what happens.

Interesting prequel to the Game of Malice and Greed series. The scenery was nice with a sort of fae/god world. Started a bit slow and had some predictability but once things get going, the story paints a nice introduction to the series without the reader really knowing where the story will go but giving a character we will want to follow and root for in Kyra. What will her fall mean and will she be able to be free?

Some authors have IT. It's hard to describe what it is exactly and I can even believe that it is very different for every reader, but for me those authors have IT. And they absolutely prove this in this breathtaking prequel. Within about a hundred pages they build a world with countless Gods, magical gifts and loads of politics. And despite all the world building, which never feels like info-dumping or over-explaining, they put one family at its heart. Of course we don't get to know these characters very well. We mostly hear about them through our heroine's eyes and yet we feel their fear and other emotions. Especially because Kyra is such an emotional character constantly following her heart, even when her head screams that she's making a big mistake. I read this entire book in one sitting because it was impossible to put down and I now can't wait to start the series!

This was a fun little read. I like Kyra. I feel like I was reading the beginning of a villain. I also like that she a genie in every sense. I can't wait to see what happens to her. I thought this story was well done, especially with how short it is. I can't wait to move into the next book.

What a great back story and lead up to main event

Going to say that the writing and world building seem to be more advanced

This was a wonderful introduction to this series!

The writing of the sister’s has improved so much and the world they created is very rich. I also found the Gods to be really interesting.

We meet one of our FMC Kyra and I love her already with her selflessness and wit. My heart broke for her in this book and I actually teared up at some points.

I can’t wait to read the next book!

Tell them I loved them more than words could ever convey.
And tell them.. not to wait to begin their adventures. I wasted my life looking at the horizon and never chasing it. The world was out there this entire time, and I never got to taste it
