3.5 far better than I had thought it would be
adventurous mysterious

I liked this book more in the beginning than the end; the story started going in directions I wasn’t as interested in or I felt was a bridge too far.

However I did enjoy it overall and plan to read additional books on the series. I love period novels, “mysteries” that aren’t very procedural/cop heavy (eg laywoman detectives) and time travel, so that helped significantly.

SUMMARY: Mallory is a 30yo detective in Canada

I really enjoyed this book. I am sucker for time travel books/movies and this was a good one. Highly recommend.

I started listening to this audiobook yesterday only because I was iffy if I'd like it, despite being a big fan Of Kelley Armstrong. I am definitely liking this book so far and recommend it. Below I put the synopsis of the book from goodreads. In my opinion if you ever enjoyed watching Quantum Leap imagine that with a murder mystery mixed in, it's just perfect.

Mallory is a detective from 2019 that somehow travels back to 1869 in a body and life of which is not her own. The mystery that unfolds and Mallory helps try to solve to not only a murder, her attempted murder and trying to find a way back home; all while trying to fit in an Era 150 years before her time.
Kelley Armstrong does not disappoint with an awesome story line, a great set of characters and an amazing world . 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend to anyone that loves time travel, thrillers and the amazing Kelley Armstrong, this is an awesome read!! Love it.
