Patti writes of distant travels in M Train and yet the writing felt kind of static, stoic. Having read Just Kids I was expecting something of a similar emotional magnitude, but that's not what I got. I didn't mind it though. M Train is full of everyday musings, little poetic souvenirs that Patti collected along the way. Some passages were a little bit dull, but overall this was a pleasant read.

It was such a pleasant read. Patti writes in such a way that immerses and you are left speechless.
