You know it's a good book when you're still thinking about it weeks later. I really enjoyed this read, adored the characters (especially the Orkneys, you know which ones), and really pondered the messages, ideas, and overall tragedy. I didn't agree with all the author's views, but the language was beautiful, the story tragic, and the whole thing gave me something to sit and think about for ages. Would recommend.
