and giving background to the rebellion. But at the end of the day, Katniss is such an interesting character to follow as she's not the calculating leader that wants to burn the system down but rather a circumstantial symbol that has inspired people. We get to watch her navigate this dichotomy since of course she has the fatal flaw that any good symbol shouldn't: she's human.
Now for the reading we're back with Carolyn McCormick who does an excellent job of reminding you that more often than not, these are children that this society is pitting against one another and forcing into to PDA. My favorite voices of hers in this book are of course Katniss and Haymich. The other guys' voices that are not all hoity toity from District 1 are a little hard to distinguish but over all, we got the emotion, we got the wit, it's all there. Excellent reading.
On to the next!

You see a clear deterioration of Katniss' mental health in this book. There are also more details about how horrible their society is.
