I liked the first 100 or so pages but after that, Ivo's character flips completely and I didn't like it. On top of it, this is so so wordy that it was painful to get through.

This is a friends to lovers relationship that has no action and a decent amount of people sticking their heads in the sand which I was willing to look past because romance characters need to misconstrue social cues a bit to make the story work. However, about 50% through the book the relationship abruptly switches from friends who have had 2 kisses that have been misconstrued to two friends who decide to share a handjob without having a conversation about it (like Ivo just puts his hands down Hanry's pants without asking for consent or explaining what he was feeling and that just wasn't emotionally rewarding for me).
