Thought it was ok but thought it could of gave us more information about Sam. It only really tells us a bit about his past, I feel let down slightly by the story. Do not think this helps understanding of Sam. Don't think I will read this book again. x

Loved that we got Sam's story, even though it hurt a little bit! I was dreading this story from the time I read the synopsis, because yeah, it didn't sound good for Sam!

I liked getting a little sneak peak into Sam’s last, but for the most part I was totally bored by this short story.

Myrnin is without a doubt my favourite character in the series, yet it is safe to say that Sam is my second favourite.
As with the short story with Myrnin I felt somewhat cheated by what we’re given. Whilst it is nice to know more about Sam this seems to be nothing more than a list of how his life played out: event one, followed by event two, and so on.
Again, there could have been more but it was still nice to get some details.

Actually read in 2012, but I don't want it to count towards my Goodreads Reading Challenge.

I loved getting to see a piece of Sam's history! How he was as a human, how the relationship with Amelie started, how he felt about his human family even after having been turned! This was a great little story for Sam fans, or Samelie Shippers.
