Read this because it is required reading for my daughter's health class. It definitely has a lesson in it. I wish it just wasn't from the young man's perspective.

My second Flinn book, and definitely my favorite of the two. Flinn skillfully gets inside the mind of an abusive lover in a way that makes you sympathize with him without excusing his actions. Her realistic characters provide for dynamic yet believable relationships and interesting proceedings. However, I felt that the most powerful aspect of this book was neither the characters nor the plot but the message of hope for all those suffering from the same issues--the same voice--that Nick endured and overcame.

READ WITHIN 6 HOURS!!! This was so beautifully crafted. I loved this story and how delicate it dealt with a serious issue. This was my first time reading any romantic/Abusive relationship. The ending was so empowering for the main character

Oof.
Mixed feelings on the story being told from the pov of the abuser but if it gets more guys to read this, then it’s probly for the best.
Definitely wish it’d had a messier ending tho.

This book wasn't terrible, but I personally don't think feel satisfied. I felt like Nick suddenly made a 180 at one point in the book. I also can’t easily deal with unlikability in characters which probably affected my experience.
