I thought this would be interesting and informative due to the recent news about the Colorado River and water shortages but I simply could not slog my way through. Despite Owen's attempt to inject humor (Bill Bryson he is not!), Owen's writing is as dry as our future riverbeds.

Gives good basic context for the CO River. Does not interview any indigenous people which is suspicious because they are just as affected as we are. Sometimes does not provide a lot of depth or context about complex issues. Learned a lot. Sometimes goes more into “fun fact” territory than useful.
