This was an enjoyable read overall. Vibrant illustrations complement a simple story about a boy named Luis who longs to go to Outer Space. He tells us about all the places he want to go and things he wants to see as he waits by the window for a space ship to come and pick him up. Unfortunately his ride doesn't arrive before bedtime but I get the impression that Luis will be waiting again tomorrow. My only qualm with the book is that a few of the images of the aliens may be a bit too scary for more sensitive young readers.

A very simple story about Luis who dreams about going to outer space. The illustrations are bright and fun, and the text stands out well against the imagery. Although this is a fantastical story (involving meeting aliens), it becomes apparent at the end that Luis has been using his imagination, and now has to go to bed. My only concern is the last image of Luis in bed, with aliens standing at the window - that may not be problematic for some, but for others this might exacerbate the childhood fear or monsters under the bed, and equivalents! On the whole though, it's a fun story and a nice quick read before bed. Plenty to see and point out in the pictures for young eyes.

I thought this book was so colorful and interesting. The illustrations really captured my attention. I especially liked all the aliens and the pop culture references throughout. (Did you catch them all?) I find that kids always seem to enjoy books about space especially if there are aliens and space rockets involved. Overall, I think most kids will enjoy this book and get them interested in space and using their imagination.

I received an ARC via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Simple, perfect. A little boy wants to go to space. He wants to meet new aliens, try new food, and even build a robot. A simple story for any age bedtime.
