I am obsessed with the way Dworkin writes, her analysis of gender and sex in society. I'm actually lost for words on what to say about this.

For how Dworkinites act I expected way more casual transphobia and essentialism but this instead wildly queer positive and instead casually racist???

It started off soooo good with super interesting topics to discuss about and to learn from. Like the footbinding was so interesting, also the pornography, witchcraft.. all these topics were really instructive but then… we got to the last chapter…

0 stars for the stuff about children’s sexuality and incest and bestiality, 5 stars for everything else. Later in her life she said she regretted her incest/children stuff, and the stuff with Ginsberg, but still…

Also, some things were just wrong, like about 1/10,000 live births being virgin births. Also almost everything she said about pre-industrial/indigenous cultures brought a lot of skepticism in me. Some of it was offensive, and it seems like overall she just said they did/do/believe(d) whatever was convenient to her.
