Koichi was about to transfer to a new middle school when he got hospitalized. In the new school, he saw a familiar girl in his class. What he didn't know is there's a mystery about a good student who died some 26 years ago from Class 3-3, which is his class now. The story revolves the death of the student & Koichi trying to figure out what happened years ago.
A good intro into the series. This is put under horror genre but for me, it's more of a dark mystery with some supernatural touch. What intrigued me is how everyone reacted to Koichi's asking about the death. It's interesting when I found out Ayatsuji and another author of ghost hunting mystery series are married. Now, I think subconsciously, I'll start comparing their writing.

Now I am not so sure if I will continue, the manga was practically the same as the anime and I was bored a few times because I already knew it.
In overall, I love the art style of the manga. And it is good to see Misaki and the other people again.
