What a wild ride. Dane really knows how to push up the tension. I enjoyed the suspense and liked the characters.

I read book 2 earlier this year and I'm finally getting the chance to binge read this series. I love a good suspense and this didn't disappoint me at all. The author led me on a merry chase, is it him?...no too obvious, is it him? ....red herrings everywhere. I must say I did NOT see that coming. A highly entertaining mystery and I can't wait to look at book 3 now.

An excellent serial killer mystery with a paranormal touch.
Special agent and profiler Ryker Townsend is hunting the Totem Killer who arranges the dismembered bodies of his young male victims in an artistic, gruesome fashion. Scared to share his special abilities with his FBI colleagues, Ryker independently follows a lead to an isolated place in Alaska where he is confronted with surviving the wilderness, evil maniacs and his own demons.
Told from Ryker's first person perspective as well as the third person account of other characters, this was a gripping read with the tension steadily building up and the second half of the book so suspenseful, I had to finish it in one go.
Ryker was a wonderful character, but I also enjoyed the well developed personalities of his FBI colleagues. There is definitely potential for more stories surrounding this group of people.
