This book was a pleasant, quick read. I really felt for Colleen, and being from Jersey helped a bit on that. She's a frustrated, reluctantly now single mom and a likable character. I enjoyed her antics and while I'd like to think that if I had two children I'd be a bit more careful about my life, I'd respond to things the way she did.
A lot of other mystery novels has the heroine laying down and just taking the flak she gets on a day to day basis. "Being the bigger person." But Colleen is realistic in that she rightfully wants to strangle her ex and can't handle her family all the time.
All in all a great read and I'd love to keep reading about Colleen and her new life.
