Not sure where the high ratings come from? This book is 300 pages of red flags wrapped in smutty cringey tape.

It exposes extreme emotions and dark pasts and really both I can relate to. The sexual experience in the book was utterly necessary to understand the characters of Eve and Gideon. Their dark pasts and passion for each other sometimes collide but they are frank with each other and that what counts.

I Loved this book! I like how Eva called Gideon on everything.

I’m not a dark romance girly but putting that aside, the plot was meh, the characters are meh, the only character I liked was the gay bestfriend because he was the only person who had any damn sense and self awareness. That’s all.

OMG! I loved this. It’s exactly what I needed to read. The characters are likeable. Eva feels like a character to fight for. Gideon is just dreamy. I love a tortured alpha male and I was absolutely drooling over him. The side characters were pretty good too. Eva’s boss Mark and his partner Steven are brilliant. Room mate best friend Cary is loveable but I wanted to slap him at one point. The smut was really good. It was well written and not rushed. I giggled out loud a few times. I cannot wait to pick up the next book in this series.
