ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLAYS OF ALL TIME. I know some people hate it, but PROOF is one of my favorite plays of all time. When I first started taking acting classes, it was one of the plays we studied. During quarantine and over zoom, me and a group of other theatre nerds dug into this text and lived and breathed it for six weeks. Sure, it is fairly simple, but it is my beloved.

It’s short which, for me, made it one of my faster reads.

Catherine, the main character, was clearly brilliant.  it could be very easy to not like her or see her as Whiny but I loved her character so much.

Not only that, the dynamic between all three characters was interesting. I wasn’t a fan of Claire for most of the book, and Hal was a bit off an asshole at times but when they and Catherine were together it was super interesting to read.
