I definitely enjoyed this - and once again love the handling of pronouns. This sequel did not seem as fleshed out as the first one. That the protagonist switched a lifetime of loyalty in 2-3 pages was a little sketch. But otherwise another fun ride in the RRP series.

Mythology and space together? It works. I'm not that familiar with sci-fi, so some of the jargon was unfamiliar to me, but the author does a really good job at world-building.

I really like this author and I think these are cute middle grade books.  Nephew approved.

I really enjoyed reading this book! I actually went and read the first book before this one, and really liked how the stories are connected yet can stand alone as well. The plot happens mostly over a few hours, so at times I felt like it's moving a little slow, but it was overall a good story with a good amount of Korean folklore elements.
I'll definitely keep an eye out for future books by Yoon Ha Lee!
