A good mystery. Definitely showing it’s age with a few jokes that have gone sour in the past few years. Interesting commentary.

I like Kellerman's first-person storytelling with Alex Delaware. He's urbane and sophisticated without coming across as haughty. Nice to read first-person stories where the MC doesn't come across as Literature's gift to witty repartee and a devil-may-care attitude about life and death situations.

On the downside, the plot was a bit tame, no big surprises, and the ending seemed anticlimactic. But Kellerman created a solid MC in Delaware. Not surprised he wrote so many stories featuring him.

This felt a little dated, and I had a little bit of that horror movie sentiment, "Nooooooo. Don't trespass into literal crazy person territory!" but I still enjoy Alex, and I'll probably read more of this series.

This was a typically good Kellerman. I have read many of the newer books and decided to start at the beginning working my back through. This one was definitely short and to the point but good. It was also pretty dark much like the first one. On to the third...

A good follow up to the starter of the series, only a small drop off.
