this was simply decent. it was not show-stopping amazing, but i enjoyed it while i was reading it. the longer i look back on it, i've read better.

the good:
the story was intriguing and the ending was 100% unexpected for me. i enjoy juicy, rich family drama and this provided plenty of that. i love the whole ~beachy~ vibe, so that was a plus.

the bad:
most of my complaints are about the writing. this was too breezy of a read without much action for the first 2/3 of the book. i read it in one sitting on a sunday, and although that's not uncommon for me, this was so fast because the writing made it that way. i still look back and can't remember too much of the details from the first 75% of the book. at times, i felt like i was reading a middle school chapter book only because of the writing.

disclaimer: since reading this, i've read Karen M. McManus's The Cousins, and it has a much similar vibe and i enjoyed it more. do with that what you will.

I didn't sob, but my heart did beat loud and fast. This book was a bit slow, but definitely an interesting and beautifully tragic read.

Not quite sure how I feel about this one. Not a huge fan of the writing style and the beginning was slow. But I read the second 2/3 in one sitting. The twist really got me, but was also somehow a let down.

book is good but not as good as i expected, it made me sob thou . Writing was easy to understand . i like the way they used short stories and provided map too. book title and story didn't have any relation
story-line - cady has an accident and don't remember what happened before and after so she tried to find out what happened.

Some sections of greatness but I felt thoroughly unsatisfied. Loved the almost poetry like structure and fairytale allusions.
