๐Ÿ“š Ugh why is this series so good??? And why isn't there more of it to read yet??? This book did a good job of bringing in events from books 1 and 2 in the series and putting them in a different context, so even if you knew what was happening from the previous books' MCs' perspectives, it felt familiar but still felt fresh.

๐Ÿ“™ This was a great story. There was emotional vulnerability, there was rivalry, there was love and discovery and tons of sex. And I really liked all three of the MCs in terms of personality.

๐ŸŽง All three of the narrators (1 female, 2 male, all first person POV) did an excellent job with the material.

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ 5/5 it didn't get into like deep/hardcore kink but other than that, this book (like the others in the series) is constantly on.

๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆโœŠ We of course have the diversity in sexuality involved in a 3 way relationship (and it is truly 3 way). There are also other team members who are queer (some from book 1 and some others). One of the MMCs is biracial: Black and (I think) white. This is a hockey romance, and it does seem like most of the side characters are white. There's diversity in backgrounds: one of the MCs grew up alone and basically on the streets, one had a loving middle class family, and the other comes from a powerful and moneyed (but cold) family.

Iโ€™m honestly getting very tired of this series. As someone who is very involved with hockey, the books are extremely unrealistic and I feel like the stories are just too exaggerated. I think these books could be about 200 pages less and still get the point across (less sex and less fluff about what the characters are thinking)

Reading a new Jacksonville Rays book is like coming back home. I swear this entire hockey team means the absolute world to me, and I've loved getting to watch them all find their beautiful happily ever afters.

I've been excited for Poppy's book since book one. I could not wait, and the more and more details Emily gave, I got that much more excited and let me tell you, this was everything I wanted and more.

Poppy St. James is a badass woman. But she has a bit of a people pleasing problem, especially when it comes to her family. But her growth by the end of this book is so beautiful; how the love of these two men makes her that much more confident and makes her learn to not care so much about what everyone will think of her. I love that she embraces their love, and by the end, she's shouting it from the rooftops; especially to her family.

Then there's Colton, who is just a sweet freaking cinnamon roll. I absolutely adored him from the moment he brought Poppy that Pothos plant. He really is the glue that holds these three together, and I love that about him. He chooses Poppy very early on, but throughout the book, we also see him choosing Novvy. He really does love them both equally, and I love that he never once gave up on them or let them give up on themselves.

And Novvy. My sweet baby. Novvy has a lot of emotional trauma from his childhood that makes it really hard for him to accept love. Even when he has it, he can't bring himself to accept that it's true or that he's deserving of it. Luckily, he has two partners that won't ever let him believe he deserves anything less than an endgame with the three of them together. And to see his growth, to see him struggle at the end to the strong one for Poppy and Colton, but doing it anyway because that's what he needed to do to there for them. He accepts that it's okay to be scared but that things are a lot less scary with people you love by your side.

I could genuinely live in this universe forever. I love this fictional hockey team with my entire heart. I cannot wait for Teddy and Henrick's book... fake marriage, sign me up. ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’™

Pucking Sweet by Emily Rath is the third book of her Jacksonville Rays series. It is a spicy, why choose, hockey romance that runs concurrently with the prior books of the series. I did enjoy this one, although it was definitely not my favorite of the series.

I really like Poppyโ€™s character and her accent. But it took me a bit to adjust to the change in narrators from the first two books. I definitely prefer the prior narrators of this series, as only Alex Kydd was the same one for this audiobook.

Iโ€™m glad to see there are more books coming in this series. Iโ€™ve really enjoyed all of these audiobooks so far and I plan to listen to the rest when theyโ€™re published.
