SUPER SONS (ISSUE #6 - ISSUE #9) : PLANET OF THE CAPES

There was a lot to like in this , like the exchanges between Damian and Jon . The two share some fantastic moments together , both funny and intense . They really do feel like two children playing together .

The art during the first few issues of the story was also to my liking , however towards the end the art style changed and while the colour pellet still stayed brilliant to look at the facial expression kind of bugged me .

As far as the plot goes , it started off really nice , but the finale came out of nowhere and due to a Speech , which is right up there on top of my The most annoying ways to finish a story list , along with Ex-Machinas of course .

Also , as this story arc showed , if Jon is doing the job as both the brains and the brawn of the team , then what purpose , besides being annoying and obnoxious , does Damian serve in the team ?

I really liked this comic! Superboy is so inspirational and he really shined in this comic. I liked the way this arc ended and what a hopeful note it was!

So Superboy and Robin realize trying to fight a planet is pretty impossible.

Hard Line and Big Shot are clay kids, apparently.

Superboy: You do what every hero does…the best you can.
Robin: Jeez, you sound like your dad.
Superboy: Thanks, I’ll take that as a compliment.

I love Superboy! When he gives these types of speeches, he never comes off as cheesy. He’s genuinely inspirational.

Kraklow: The best I can.

Oh, my heart. That’s amazing.

Damien: Can I get a cup of coffee, too, Superdad?
Clark: Stunts your growth. Jon says you need all the help you can get.

Like this really sassy superman.

Java me up, Superdad

End of the arc. There's a cool setup at the end for a new comic run that seems like it would have potential.

Once more, I beg that this series runs for literally ever and ever. I can't believe we're only on issue #9!

This wasn't as lovable for me as the past issues.

For one thing, I'm not a big fan of the art in the middle of it and I never got super attached to Hard Line and Big Shot (I think that's her name). It looks like they're moving on to their own story to protect themselves which is pretty interesting.

I really liked the last few pages with Clark and Damian begrudgingly admitting that Jon gives a great speech!

Can't wait to see what the next arc will be!
