An amazing work recommended to me by the Tejano Geneaology Society of Austin. An important perspective of life in Texas (and a 1920s woman’s at that) that wasnt portrayed in history books. If you have ancestry from Zapata, Cameron, or Starr Counties this would be so insightful to your own history! I learned so much from this Masters thesis and found the introduction by Dr. Cotera (UT) equally as meritable for bringing this woman and her impact in the academic world back into publishing.
