Feminists hate this book because it's about a man finding himself.

Got this for free and safe to say that this is one of the worst books I’ve ever read

Wow. This book really, really wasn't my thing. I found it to be a really difficult book to read, and it took me about four times as long as it should have to wade through.
As a book about a spiritual journey, I thought I would like Wild Animus more than I actually did, which was a disappointment.
For me, the most interesting part of the book was the beginning where Lindy and Ransom's relationship began. It was pretty well all downhill from there. The drug sequences were so far out of my frame of reference that I didn't get much out of it, and I often felt like I was being hit over the head with the symbolism of the wolves and ram. I also didn't find a lot to like about most of the characters.

The poorly told story of a self-absorbed, girlfriend-dragging-down-with-him narcissist, and the people that fall in love with him.

I barely read it. I mean, it doesn't seem like it's for me. Way too mystical.
I DID write a pretty long column about just what the hell this book is and why it shows up EVERYWHERE.

A book about a restless soul and the consequences about getting caught up in drugs and not thinking about others.

This is difficult one to review.
I actually believe that [author:Rich Shapero|239371] has talent as an author. I found his metaphors visually informative without making me pause to consider the picture intended.
Therianthropy is not subject matter that many people explore. So, even though somewhat bizarre, I think this "transformation" was done well. Maybe people would relate to a "spirit guide" or "totem" animal more than to a therianthropic human.
Quirky and imaginative. Get past implausible! Relax.
