I love the Dinosaur vs. series and I find them funny to read aloud. I also like reading them to myself. However this current Dinosaur incarnation doesn't seem as good as the others. The Dinosaur is bringing animals to the library for all of them to make noise at the library. I thought perhaps the plot would be Dinosaur "attacking" different parts of the library until he is tamed by story time.

Hehe roaring in the library :) I did a Dinosaur storytime years ago and had the kids roar. It was so much fun. I wish I'd had this book back then. Well, but then I'd need time travel, and the introduction of this book years before it was published would have like broken the space time continuium thing. (I totally butchered that spelling, I know.)

Did this as a story time book and put the kids in charge of "ROARING" for me, so great! The very simple and sparse text leaves lots of room for improvisation and a fun story for a group of all ages.

I understand why this series is popular with kids, but it is way too repetitive. This one ends so abruptly that there isn't much "library" to it, and I would only read this for the upcoming library storytime I'm doing if there were no other options.

I am a sucker for anything library-themed. Also, the dinosaur teaching baby chicks to roar is wonderful. Roar!!

As I unpack new books for our school library, I couldn’t resist reading this. It’s going to be perfect for the beginning of the year with our preschool students! Little dinosaur learns to be quiet in the library when listening to stories!
