This was a really fun read! Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a darker read with dubious consent/ rape, but the demon does truly care for her and they feed off eachothers baser nature's. I applaud Amy for embracing that side of herself and giving as good as she took. She had spirit and a feistiness that I found refreshing! I would absolutely love to read more from a series around this!

Woah there, sexual tension! I wasn't expecting so much story in a package this size. I am a goner for that demon and his controlling ways. This certainly dealt with some dark themes, but you'll find darker out there if you go looking. Perfectly paced and such a fun read!

DNF 65% 1 star…
I read a lot of monster/alien/demon romances but this did just not do it for me. I like when they are nicer or more sensitive or even a little caring. This man was so awful to her and ended up just flat out murdering people? Idk not my thing and the sex didn’t seem enjoyable for her at all!
3/5 on spice. 4/5 on kink. 1/5 on tears. I really didn’t enjoy this at all and I tried many times with such a short book that’s not great.

Came for the concept, but in the end the execution was not for me.
I do not want to yuck anyone's yum, but tearing in that sensitive area (and purposefully at that) does nothing but freak me out and turn me right off.
I'm also not sure I would categorize as dubious consent when said demon explicitly states they don't care either way whether or not she consents or enjoys herself. Maybe more rape fantasy? I don't know, I'm not an expert in that area but just not for me.
