adored this book to bits. Art style is amazing, the colouring works great with only the blood being coloured and associated with taboo/blood or something that hurts others. The poison story wasn't best though

This was a gorgeous collection of three traditional stories, reimagined by the artist. My favorite was hands down The Promise, as the story it's based on is also a favorite fairy tale of mine. The expressive ink-work and the incorporation of red really worked for me, and I feel certain I will go back to leaf through this collection again.

3.5/5, bumped up to a 4.

Storie non molto chiare, disegni pure, con parecchie vignette quasi abbozzate, di difficile comprensione. Trascurabile.

  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? Yes
  • Loveable characters? Yes
  • Diverse cast of characters? Yes
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

The book artwork seemed more like sketches than actual panels for a graphic novel. The lack of color wasn’t my favorite either. Seemed too simplistic. The stories were okay.
