Lawrence Block wrote this book as Jill Emerson. I bought it because I love Lawrence Block and it was published by Hard Case Crime (one of the best publishers).

It's about a women who suffered continual abuse as a child up until adulthood from her father. It has left her scarred in a way where she really likes sex (in all it's kinky varieties) but what she really loves is to kill men after sex.

She comes upon the idea that there are only five men who have been with her that she has not killed and they become her list. The rest of the book is about clearing the list and killing the men. This is interrupted occasionally with new men and new killings.

Kind of twisted and sick.
I enjoyed it more than I wanted to because Block is such a great writer and it seems like he had a great time writing this. He had me almost pulling for her.

Like most of the Hard Case Crime novels, I won't forget this book for a very very long time (and I'm not sure that's a good thing).
Probably a 3.5 star book but I'm going to round down to 3 stars because of the depravity of the contents.

Only recommended for huge fans of Hard Case Crime or Lawrence Block.

as is often the case with "soft-porn" the story was the least of the author's worries.the material soon becomes very boring and anti-erotic. Skip this one.

All I can say is that it is everything the title promises. Actually, whatever impression you get from the title, multiply that by 10 and add necrophilia. There you have it.

Sometimes I pick up books without bothering to read reviews or even the brief synopsis on the back. This was one of those books, and ... well, the cover really speaks for itself.

Quick read. Kept me a bit entertained, and I thought the premise was good but the execution a little sloppy. Really, there are only so many ways to write sex scenes, and when your book is 50% sex, it shows.

Pure trash. So much sex and violence. Lotsa murders. Sort of a fantasy fulfillment book, if your fantasy is killing everyone you ever slept with.

A lot of sex and violence but no point or plot and she’s a bad detective.

This was surprisingly incredible. I couldn't put this down and found myself wanting to read more and follow this femme fatale. The journey of sex and violence is definitely something I loved. The sex was awesome and the murders were perfect!!! Ibthink ibfound my new favourite genre.

Jesus Christ. To say that was utter dog shite is to down play the creative potential of a puppy's small intestine.
