I find that between the hiatuses the comics are a nice way to fill the time. While I can't say I enjoy them as much as the TV show they are like a light snack that keeps you satisfied. I found this story in particular to be cute and bring a little more real worldness to Steven Universe.
I always found myself wondering about school in this universe so it was fun to see Steven take part in it. It was also interesting to see how being raised by someone as unconventional as the Gems could have it's consequences. But as always Steven Universe shows us that unconventional isn't always bad and sometimes consequences carry good lessons.
I also liked that Connie plays a big role in this book. She's one of my favorite characters in the show and I loved her in this. It was interesting to see a side of her life we don't always get to see and I thought the ending was great.
Overall if you're a Steven Universe fan you should check this out.

Not as voicey as the other volume I read, though I still very much like the characters. (Connie is BEST.)

Super quick read about Steven going to school. It's not a repeat of any of the television content, so if you're a fan of the show, it's a fun little jaunt.
With that said, I enjoy Steven and his universe much more in video format. Without the voices and starry eyeballs, it's just not the same to me.

Really loved this comic. Any SU fan would enjoy it. And all I'm going to say is, "Square Mom is the best in the Mom Squad"!
