My only qualm with the graphic novels is the fact that Kim works with the artists to help them portray the characters properly, and they still make Rachel super busty -.-

Finally got a copy! My collection is complete. A great further delve into Ivy's POV from early in the relationship. Did feel like a bit of an abrupt ending to this compared to the other graphic novel.

While I still enjoyed seeing a visual representation of the Hollows and hearing Ivy's viewpoint, I didn't like this one as much as Blood Work. Too much of the focus was on vampire politics. While that's an important part of this world and Ivy's life, the vampires are one of my least favorite species in this world.

I'm not a fan of vampires and witches but I love graphic novels. I found this novel in a search of book shops at Hay on Wye during this year's Hay Festival. The story is not my cup of tea at all, but the drawings are fabulous. The book is worth buying and savouring for those alone. Gemma Magno - I'm a fan!

I think I would have enjoyed this more had there not been such a huge gap inbetween my reading this and the previous book. Or even if there had been a quick refresher on what had happened and who was who in book one. While Rachel, Ivy, Kisten and the like don't need backstories if you're a Hollows fan some of the other characters like Art (?) I had no memory of who they were and why they were importany. Not bad on the whole, art was acceptable (I'm really picky about art involving characters that weren't birthed in the comic universe) and its a good addition to the shelf of Hollows fans - I just didn't set myself up to enjoy it at a premium.

I love it when my favorite authors create graphic novels from my favorite series. I also love it when there is a in between story from the series. I didn't care for the art but I enjoyed the story.

It's interesting to read about Rachel and Ivy's partnership from Ivy's point-of-view. She's a little too mope and pine for my liking, but she's still pretty kick-ass when she needs to be. I really like artist [a:Gemma Magno]'s portrayal of the "vampires" within Ivy and Piscary. I'd never considered them in that sense before.

Having not read the novels, I am having trouble following what is going on in this series. The graphic novels haven't provided enough information about the world and the basic rules of vampirism.
