Darrel Rivers, the main character, has a lot to deal with as head girl of her form and with the pressure of exams.

*ahem.* So I started rereading these because I had covid and my brain wasn't working, but I seem to be rereading the whole series now. I'm not gonna lie, I'm thoroughly enjoying myself.

Het begint een beetje repetitive te worden. Verder was er te veel focus op Gwendoline's POV, en wow zo veel fatshaming niet normaal

I realised at the end of this book that Enid blyton would have had a terrible career in maths. For reference, there are 250 girls in the school and 7 year groups (forms). That would mean 250/7 = 36(ish) and there are four houses so 36/4 = 9. So there should be 9 girls per house and 36 girls per form. As it stands, Darrell’s form alone has 13 girls. By using 13 as the new starting number we can figure out that 13x4=52 girls per year and 52x7= 364 girls in the whole school. Which is 114 more girls than 250 which is stated in every book before and after. Enid Blyton should pay more attention to detail
