I was quite enjoying this story, up until about 80%. Then the writing slipped into mediocrity and the FMC began acting way out of character. Bizarre.

5/2023 addendum:
Listened to the audiobook since I can, yay! Hated every word of it, boo. These are not the regular narrators. I get that Bee is black and should be narrated by a black woman. That is not the issue. The way she chose to read this book was all wrong. The intimate scenes sounded like a bad parody of erotica and I can't quite figure out why. Also, her voice for Crulden is laughable. He sounded drugged. And the male narrator was not better. There was no genuine emotion from either of them. And their reading speeds were too different from each other. Increasing the speed for Bee's sloooow drawl made the male parts sound like he was on meth. Or a chipmunk.
I cannot recommend this at all. Read it with your

Another wonderful alien romance from Ruby Dixon! I loved that this story took place on Risda and really enjoyed seeing the differences in personality between Victor and Mycrul. Bee is a refreshing heroine, I enjoyed seeing her use others views of her against them and take control of her situation. I don’t know what to do with myself once I’m completely caught up with this world.

Love.

I love it. I loved Bad Guy, and this one was great too. I get the feeling Ms Dixon has spent a lot of time thinking about the nature vs nurture of clones and I can 100% relate.

While I can't say Worse Guy was bad, I also was bored while reading it and felt like I had already read this plot and characters before. I think I will put Ruby Dixon on a break. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

let me just give you a three sentence conversation between the mmc and fmc that perfectly sums up the book.
this is not an actual conversation but an accurate representation.

"i don't want to have sex ever again. i get no pleasure from it and it makes me uncomfortable after the sexual trauma i endured."
"but like.... i could make you come."
"okay, suddenly i am aroused and recovered from any past experiences. please have sex with me all day long."
