This was fun, the ending was a little abrupt, but all in all a fun book. I know I never rate the spice, but despite the cover, the sex scenes left something to be desired.

Sure the premise might sound a bit cheesy, but this was a great book! Esp for a debut. Every time I anticipated it taking the easy way out with conflict, it surprised me! It is well written, and paced. The characters have depth, and there is more to them than the stereotypes of their profession. I'd actually love to keep reading their story. And of course, it is so sexy.
My only complaint is that this was available on Kindle Unlimited and the next 2 in the series cost $9.99 each for kindle editions. I want to read them, but they'll have to wait.

- allocishet m/w, he’s white she’s brown-skinned latine, instalove, secondary jewish character/s (and wedding!)
- this was a quick and intense read/relationship arc, but it’s super fun and so hot
- seems pretty sex-worker-positive to me?

I really wanted to like this book. A stripper with a heart of gold. A teacher who has given up on her dreams and become a bit of a walking disaster. The whole mixed up laundry bag had meet cute gold written all over it. But from that very first meeting, this book just didn’t work for me. Neither one of these characters felt real. They were flat and uninteresting. Her fall from Uber organized to late all the time just felt like such a cliche. He’s been stripping for 10 years because it’s easy money and doesn’t require much from him. Is that an existence?
Maybe I’m just on a judgy mood. But this didn’t work for me on any level.

This is an average new adult romance — it’s sexy, enjoyable, fun with a good dose of angst. It was a lot of fun to read and I loved the characters.
The only issue I had was that the plot didn’t have that much substance which made it lack overall. But it was an enjoyable read, brilliantly written and the characters were extremely charming.

Such a great and different premise. He's an entertainer, she's a fifth grade teacher. Their chemistry is off the charts. I was thoroughly entertained with this book.

I like how this book is positive in its rep of sex work and sex workers, and that the only person who has an issue with it is the villain. If you like cinnamon roll heroes, then this is a book for you.
