"Anubis didn't mind this turn of events one bit because as any god of the dead would tell you, your beginnings will never be as important as your end."
Ok ok ok. Hear me out: Anubis.
This was such an amazing addition to the Gods of the Duat trilogy. I most likely have been spamming my friends (particularly one - she knows who she is, and I appreciate her for listening to me gush about this lol) with messages about this series. Anubis was the god I was waiting for when I started this for - he's my favorite Egyptian god, and I have tentative hopes to get a tattoo of him. This book was so good, and I absolutely fell in love, just like I did with Set and Thoth. There were so many twists & turns with this book - Rana's arc of being manipulated by the bad guy of the story (not bothering to remember his name...something Said, I think), Ishak's illness and his ups and downs, and Anubis' relationships with Set and Thoth.
