If you like creepy and unsettling and are okay with loose ends, this is the book for you. Catherine House is a fancy, uber exclusive liberal arts college whose graduates go on to illustrious, lucrative careers. The only catch is students are essentially locked in for three years, with no contact with the outside world. All their needs are met and everything is provided, but the utopian front hides a sinister reality. Forget graduation--it’s hard enough to get out alive.

I APPLAUD Elisabeth for really going for it with the debut novel. She really took and risk and went there and I’m still thinking WTF did I just read?? This book is weird, confusing, ambiguous, and boring yet had my attention. Did I like it?! I don’t know!! Did I hate it?! I don’t know!! My rating is just confused as this book but like I’m here for it! If you enjoyed the weird of Bunny I think you MIGHT enjoy this book! But don’t come for me if you don’t because I’m not sure I even liked it!

No plot, just mediocre vibes. Nothing really happened, everything was kind of like a fever dream and so repetative. This book was just so weird. The last 80 pages was probably the most interesting but the ending also was so underwhelming.
Overall, just really disappointed by this. The hype was there but I did not understand it.

This is the kind of book that I will always reach for because of the atmosphere. The unfortunate thing is that the main mystery wasn’t interesting because it wasn’t explained.

I hated the protagonist. A lot of things didn’t make any sense whatsover and the plot twist stunk. Nothing really happens? 2.5 it wasn’t bad enough to DNF
