I'm usually not a fan of deus ex machina but I'll be making an exception for the end of the swordsmith village arc because oh my GOODNESS. also genya yaa habibet albi come here let me hug you.
I'm going to be totally honest, I didn't realise just how much of the anime's adaptation of the hashira training arc was original content. don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed what I've read of the manga's hashira training so far, but there were so many great filler-esque moments from the anime that I loved and wanted to see in the manga. I suppose the anime still exists, but still, it really took me off guard just how much of it was anime-original.
this volume really reiterated just how mixed my feelings on sanemi are. I get it, his heart's in the right place, but the way he expresses his will to protect genya is appalling. I could honestly write an entire essay on that one scene alone, but I'll save that for another day.

Chapter 126 doesnt feel the frustration as watching the anime but it's still there. Omg the tense and pressure in the Swordsmith Village arc climax is very much different than Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve arc, Mugen Train arc and Entertainment District arc.
The Hashira Training arc begins at chapter 129 to 133 (for this volume).

Giyu’s backstory is so sad, he shouldn’t think so low of himself and poor Genya deserves all the love.
