This is the first of Nghi Vo's books that I have read, but it will certainly not be the last.
Vo has created such an extraordinary plot; I was kept enthralled the entire novel. The magical element in Siren Queen was brilliant, and don't get me started on the characters.

Siren Queen gets a solid 5/5 stars from me, and I hope that you all enjoy it just as much as I have.

DNF - I got halfway through and just could not get into the book. There were interesting aspects, so I’m not sure if it was the story or my headspace, but I never felt invested in the characters.

Interesting super-reality fantasy combination dealing with a diverse set of characters at a time when diversity wasn’t encouraged.
A little overly long which cost it a star.
