I loved the illustrations in this book so much. The baby takes an unexpected trip with her big brother. along the way she learns a lot of different words that begin with the letter b. The vocabulary was sensational and will introduce children to words from other countries. Great book for one on one reading and cuddling time.

The illustrations are AMAZING and the story is fun. A little baby stows away in a basket of bananas on her brother's bike to go to Baba's bungalow. A great group read aloud with lots of opportunities to learn new vocabulary and practice the letter B without even realizing you're doing it.

Very charming story about a baby and her brother in an African village taking a bike ride to visit baba. Told entirely through b words. Just super cute and fun to read.

SO BEAUTIFUL. The pictures are clear and bright, easy to see even for baby eyes across the room. Joy and love and laughter just jump off the page for this picture book about two little ones (Baby and Brother) and all the B things they find on the way to see their Baba (bridge, bicycle, Baobab, so much more).

I'll be reading this a lot in baby storytime!

A cute simple story accessible to babies and toddlers (and, okay, sometimes middle aged librarians like me!) with repetition of words that begin with “B,” perhaps set in Nigeria where the author is from. A cute little adventure with charming and heartwarming illustrations that gives you a taste for another part of the world while working on your little one’s alphabet! Double educational AND cute AND fun? No wonder so many refer to Atinuke as a “master story teller.” Indeed!

The only downside is that it kinda makes me want to have a baby and I am too old! My ovaries! The cuteness!!! Aaahh! Someone give me a grand baby!
