This was a little heavier story than Anastasia usually writes that I've read (note - her Love on Main series!!).
But that's not a big deal!
The story was deeper, a bit darker, but the emotions were pure and raw. And I loved seeing the relationship between Liam and Candy grow as well as see where they came from to where they end up.
It's a great read and worth your time!!!
Can't wait for more in this series.

Candy works as a stripper at a club owned by a motorcycle gang. Thanks to her ex she's got a debt to pay to the mafia and this is the fastest way to get the money she owes. When Liam comes into Candy's life he wants nothing but to help her out. He's got the means to do it, but can he risk exposing his secret to someone he just met?

This novella's got a darker story than what Anastasia Austin normally writes. The mafia, motorcycle gang, the jargon at the strip club - it all makes for some graphic language, physical violence and an attempt to sexual abuse. I don't have a problem with this, as long as it's relevant to the story, which is the case here. The sexscenes are, as usual in Austin's books, very detailed and... graphic. I personally still prefer when I don't get the whole scene minutely described, but at least I'm getting used to the graphic images!

I like both Candy and Liam as characters. The fact that there's an age gap between them (16 years) doesn't bother me, I actually didn't think of that. Since this is a short story it moves very quickly, and I'm not really fond of the instant attraction/falling in love theme. I would have loved to follow Candy and Liam in a full length novel, where they would have to get to know each other over a longer period of time, but that's me being somewhat old-fashioned! Despite the darker tone we still get a happy ending!
