This has to be my favorite book so far in this series!

Firstly, I was really impressed with Meghan's growth. In the past two books (but specifically The Iron Daughter), I was annoyed beyond belief with her whiny, ignorant, childish ways. But this book gave us a much stronger protagonist who was willing to sacrifice in order to serve those around her.

Secondly, there was more information about something that baffled me from the beginning: the Iron fey. Yes, that's what this entire series is about, but it always seemed like there was a lack of actual information about this part of the faery world. We learned more about how they came to be, what it took to kill them, and what their magic was like.

Thirdly, we had more Grimalkin! Yes, that's exciting enough to get its own point in this review. Grim is definitely my favorite and I loved having his sassy, fluffy self back in this story. He was greatly missed throughout most of the previous book. In general, the secondary characters were fantastic in this one! Razor was also adorable and I even liked Glitch and Diode.

The ending was a bit predictable, but I wasn't exactly expecting something awe-inspiring. However, I am curious as to how the next book will tie to this since it seemed like things were pretty final. Excited to learn what happens next!
