Three. Random. Words.
Stop. This. Writing.

This is the last novel in the Twisted series and surprisingly, I found this one to be the most enjoyable. Christian's character is absolutely cliché and over the top to a sometimes cringe-worthy extent, but Stella is by far the most relateable and loveable character of this whole series. At times, I was actually rooting for them.

The universe these characters find themselves in is cliché and especially the male main characters are hardly distinguishable from one another. Tall, broody, edgy, dark past, chiseled jawline, does not believe in love. The conflicts are mostly very construed and could easily be solved if people in this universe talked to each other like normal adults.

However, I want to give credit to Ana Huang, because she clearly developed her writing style from Twisted Love. The storylines are not as all kover the place as they used to be, albeit they're still predictable to a great extent. There's still a lot of room for improvement, but she has come a long way.

2.75*/5, rounded up to 3*.

PS: please stop with the three. word. sentences. And if I read either "languid" or languorous" one more time, I might spontaneously combust.

The Twisted series really hasn’t missed! I enjoyed this one a lot and found Stella’s anxiety pretty relatable. This book made me wanna date a billionaire SO BAD (if you’re my bf reading this then just ignore that last sentence 😉). I thought this book had great plot and sub-plots. This definitely wasn’t my favorite book of the series but I really loved Stella, and Christian was a perfect example of morally gray!

This one was probably my least favorite. Not because it was bad. But I binged the series and I feel a little burnt out. Also Stella more Christian piqued my interest in the other books so I mostly just read this one to round the series out.

Alex/Ava --> Best Plot
Rhys/Bridget --> Best Tension (Fav Boy)
Josh/Jules --> Best Spice/Best Laughs (Fav girl)
Stella/Christian --> Best Mystery

 Mr Harper, yes, please!

I tore through each twisted book quickly, but I had to take my sweet time with Twisted Lies as I did not want to leave Stella's and Christian's story; I had to savour every moment.

Christian Harper is Alex Volkov 2.0, and he was magnificent; he is sadistic and perfect all at once; what can be better than that? The man is petty as hell, but he has a good heart. My favourite Harper quirk was his database full of names of people to mess with when he was bored. Oh! And how he blows up someone's car just because of the tone they spoke to him in or every time he was jealous of Mr Unicorn. This man only ever thought about murder or Stella, and it was beautiful.

Twisted Lies was a slow-burn romance, we didn't get to see any action until over halfway through the book, but the build-up was undeniably (I cannot think of the correct word to describe how amazing the build-up was), yeah it was good, more than good. Twisted Lies was everything I wished Twisted Love to be. Plus, I love a good gruesome scene, and Twisted Lies had a pretty gruesome scene at the end of the book; this is how I imagined Camo looked after Alex, "carving him like a jack-o-lantern". I am still sad that we didn't see that scene in Twisted Love, but at least we got to see Christian carve up that creep that went after Stella.

The only reason this book did not get five stars was that I was not a fan of the big reveal of who the traitor was at Harper Security and the reveal of Stella's stalker. Like Christian, I was disappointed with the reasoning behind Harper Security's traitor; it was rather dull; plus, that whole showdown scene was cheesy. Also, I was a tad disappointed with who Stella's stalker was; I expected it to be someone who had a bit more of a significant role in the twisted series, not someone that only had a brief mention.

Nonetheless, Twisted Lies has made it to the top of my favourite twisted book, and Stella and Christian have dethroned Ava and Alex as my favourite twisted couple.

Oh, and before I forget. What happened at Ava's bachelorette party? I need the story behind that and Alex's bachelor party!

Probably my least favourite of the 4 books in the Twisted series. A) Why does everyone end up engaged/married/pregnant? It doesn’t add anything to the story. B)There is no spice until you reach 60% of the way through C) Stella’s stalker could have been given a perspective and it would have improved the book.
