Liked this book better than the first one. I was reading it on the kindle app and when I swiped and it said acknowledgements I was like..."what?? Already?"
Then I went on Amazon to get the next book to find out it doesn't come out until feb 😒

I received an early copy of this book to review. What can I say about this book other than the plot was underwhelming and the characterization weak. I forced my self to read each subsequent chapter after the first. The first book was good, the second is, for the most part, a failure in my opinion.

Another competition, another person who loves Kali instantly, another kind of bland book. The pacing was poor and most of the characters lacked depth, but I find myself wanting to keep reading because of redeeming part of this series- the world building and the unique magic system.

I'm giving this book a 5star because it had me turning pages. The Kindred and the Prince start a relationship that no one can understand but does that relationship spark something else? Will they unite and take on the Voider together and defeat the demon?
