This was really cute, but so short it’s like...why? I loved these characters and this definitely spoke to my inner black girl otaku that is never represented. I loved shining the light on two non-white characters with disabilities crushing on each other, brought together by anime. Like..what’s not to love here? Other than it should be a full length book because this had so much potential and just ended up feeling rushed by the end. Alyssa — I know you wanted to keep writing so, why’d you stop, girl? Reggie didn’t get justice here at all. Alyssa Cole if you see this I need more black girl anime romance. Now

This is my favorite in the series so far. An autistic man and a wheelchair/glasses user falling in love?! YES! This is just a fantastic piece, I don't know what else to say about it. so many feels.
As an autistic disabled woman I say, "YES YES YES!"

This was so cute and I honestly we had gotten a little bit more. I enjoyed the conversation on both mental and physical disabilities and how you just need to find the right person who will make you thrive. I wish we could have gotten a scene where he meets her sister because of how large of a role her family played in this but I at least got to enjoy the cross over with the first book. Overall, I’m so happy I finally got around to continuing in this series and how needy this one was compared to all the rest.

So much to enjoy about this - the characters, the circumstances, getting to see more of Portia and some resolutions to the family dynamics. Not a stand-alone, though, don't think it would make sense without Portia's book.
