It is impressive that the author wrote this when she was only 17 years old. This story was a heartbreaking and challenging read.

Δεν πρόκειται για αριστούργημα αλλά για ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον πρώτο έργο μιας πολύ νέας συγγραφέως, που αφήνει υποσχέσεις για μεγάλα πράγματα στο μέλλον. 
Η Mottley προσπαθεί να θίξει πολύ σοβαρά θέματα: την αστυνομική βία και ασυδοσία, τη σεξουαλική βία και εκμετάλλευση, την ακραία φτώχεια, το να είσαι μαύρη, φτωχή γυναίκα στην Αμερική... Την παρασύρει όμως ο ενθουσιασμός της ηλικίας της και γίνεται υπερβολικά περιγραφική.
Θα περιμένω τα επόμενα συγγραφικά της βήματα με μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον!

It's sad. The prose is quite long, very descriptive and has run-on sentences. It's almost too poetic. It was beautifully deep and broke my heart. But I don't think I would recommend it.
